How FeelPal handles your data

Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, FeelPal may collect or store the following categories of information:

• Account information such as sign-in identifiers and authentication tokens.
• Mood entries, symptoms, journal notes, wellness tasks, streaks, and support-circle activity.
• Audio recordings and transcriptions when you use voice notes, voice journaling, or Mira voice features.
• Photos or attachments that you explicitly choose to add to journals or symptom records.
• Health and activity data if you choose to connect supported health integrations.
• Device, app, crash, and diagnostic data used to keep the service reliable and secure.

Why We Request Sensitive Permissions

• Microphone / RECORD_AUDIO: Used for audio notes, voice journaling, and voice interactions with Mira. Without this permission, those features cannot record audio.
• Photos and media: Used when you choose to attach images or files to entries.
• Notifications: Used for reminders, support-circle updates, and important account or wellness events.
• Health permissions: Used only if you connect supported health data sources.
• Location: Used only by features that rely on location-aware context, if enabled by you.

How Audio and Voice Data Is Used

When you record audio in FeelPal, that audio is used only to provide the feature you requested, such as creating a voice note or generating a transcription.

• Some voice processing may happen on-device when supported.
• Some features may use server-assisted transcription or AI processing, especially when on-device processing is unavailable or you use AI-assisted workflows.
• We do not use your audio recordings for advertising.
• We do not sell your audio recordings or transcriptions.

How We Use Data

• To provide mood tracking, journaling, symptom logging, support circles, and wellness planning.
• To generate visual progress features, summaries, and insights inside the app.
• To support optional AI features such as transcription, insights, and command handling.
• To sync your information across devices when cloud or account-based features are enabled.
• To maintain app security, prevent abuse, and diagnose crashes or service problems.

Support Circles and Shared Content

If you join support circles, certain activities may be shared with your circles by design, such as achievements, reactions, challenge participation, or support alerts. These features are intended to support trusted-group interaction. Circle-related sharing is limited to the circle context and is not public social-media posting.

Storage, Sync, and Retention

• Some app data is stored locally on your device to support offline use.
• If cloud or account-based sync is enabled, data may also be stored on remote infrastructure to keep your information available across devices.
• We retain data as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce platform integrity and security.

Data Sharing

We may share data with service providers that help us operate the app, such as authentication, cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, or AI/transcription providers. Those providers may process data only to deliver services on our behalf. We do not sell personal data.

Your Choices

• You can decline microphone permission, though voice features will not work.
• You can disable permissions in device settings.
• You can choose whether to use optional cloud, AI, health, and circle features.
• You can contact us about access, correction, or deletion requests where applicable.

Children

FeelPal is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law without parental or guardian authorization.
